Teeth whitener mouthpieces are the most widely available toothpaste available and the best choice for preventing tooth decay.
But, is it really necessary to use one?
The answer to that question is a resounding yes.
A new report from the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) reveals that the best option for teeth whitening is the product that the dentist prescribes.
And it is based on science.
In fact, the only way to truly protect your teeth is to do the right thing and whiten them, according to the report.
The report states that whitening teeth is important for the health of the body, the environment, and the economy.
According to CSPI, the following types of whitening products are the safest to use:• White toothpaste• Toothpastes containing hydroxy acids• Toothpaste containing calcium carbonate (CaCO3)• Toothcare products containing calcium fluoride and/or hydroxy acid and/o fluorideSource: CSPP’s report to Congress and the American Dental AssociationThe report states:The toothpaste, the toothbrush, the mouthwash, and any other products that you use to whiten your teeth can be contaminated by chemicals.
The best way to avoid that is to use the safest toothpaste that you can get your hands on.
If you’re concerned about whether or not your teeth are whitening, consider a fluoride-containing toothpaste.
If you’re not sure what to do with your whitening brush, CSPH recommends you use a toothbrush with a filter to avoid particles and stains from the toothpaste getting on the teeth.
